TARA + BJORN

The summer solstice may be ending, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the outdoors, especially when our L’ezu bride Tara sends us these gorgeous shots from her intimate Yosemite wedding! We love adding pops of color or print to a design, so when Tara came to us with her vision, we were thrilled to help her put it together. An outdoor wedding in the rough terrain of a national park had it’s challenges: we had to make sure it was comfortable (for hiking to the gorgeous spots below), durable (for walking through meadows and mulch) and still form flattering and magical! We’re happy to report that we checked all of Tara’s boxes and the dress was a huge success. Check out her beautiful #somethingblue dress as well as these dreamy Yosemite shots below. Congratulations Tara and Bjorn!

TO SCAN OR NOT TO SCAN? WEDDING REGISTRY TIPS AND TRICKS.

marleen 11.jpg

When you think of planning your wedding, your mind automatically goes to the bigger items like what you’re going to wear, the venue, who will be in your bridal party and choosing a photographer. There are so many other small details to keep in mind though.

One easy place to start on your wedding planning list is with your registry. Believe it or not, your wedding registry actually plays a huge role in your life after marriage and is not something that should be glossed over. It’s purpose is to set you up with the things you’ll need most for a successful newlywed life.

Remember, your wedding is about you as a couple and celebrating your separate lives joining together. Therefore any decisions being made regarding your wedding should be done together, and this is especially true when it comes to your registry. These are items for the home you will both share after all, so you want to make sure you’ll both be happy with them.

It’s also important to know what you should and shouldn’t register for, especially if you’re short on storage space. Your registry is the perfect excuse to replace an item you have that might have seen better days or could use an upgrade. Finding your bed uncomfortable lately? Register for a new mattress to help sleep come easier. Just make sure it’s something you’ll both love!

The thing about registries is that the options are endless. You could theoretically add anything you want. But before you go scanner gun crazy, take a second to think. Carefully curated and thought-out registries are better in the long run because they contain things you really want and need, and your guests will feel like they’re making a valuable contribution to your shared lives.

TO BRIDESMAID GIFT OR NOT TO BRIDESMAID GIFT?

Enlight1707.jpg

We’ve noticed this trend among our L’ezu brides that demands brides shower their bridesmaids with cute gifts to show their appreciation for them being a part of their special day. We pulled a Carrie Bradshaw and “couldn’t help but wonder” if this was really necessary, so we went online shopping. On the hunt for cute gift ideas, we came across this personalized Bridesmaid gifts website, so we thought we’d give a few of the products a spin.

Design me a stainless steel tumbler to keep my liquids cold but make it L’ezu? We’re sold. Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique nailed it! Not only does our drink stay hot or cold in this bottle for up to 6 hours, but now we have a super cute, on brand accessory keeping us hydrated while we work at the office. No need for a coaster, the metal tumbler doesn’t leave any condensation. To be honest, we’re loving our L’ezu bottle, but you can get it personalized however you like! I think our enthusiasm for this bridesmaid gifts stems from it’s true usefulness to the receiver.

How cute is this black denim pouch with gold detailing? It can double as a makeup bag for a quick touchup at a wedding, or even as simple as throwing your phone and wallet in on the go. At L’ezu, we’re most likely use it for some quick fix needle and thread, buttons for any wedding mishaps we may encounter.

These are just some of the cute things we tried out, but there are 300+ items available to personalize and gift on the Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique website. Our take on bridesmaid gifts is that if you feel compelled to do so, make sure they’re useful for after the wedding, because these certainly are!

LAURIE + MIKE

Our beautiful, body positive blogger L’ezu bride babe (enough alliteration for you?) Laurie Brucker, just sent us her wedding photos and of course we’re head over heels for them. We loved designing this form flattering layered lace gown for Laurie. We wanted to make sure to incorporate the shorter length in the front and longer train in the back in order to showcase those killer Valentino shoes! Laurie couldn’t have been more wonderful to work with and she’s emanating absolute joy and beauty in these gorgeous pictures by Nicole Leever Photography. Congratulations Laurie and Mike on your beautiful day!

NEKOLLE + JARELL

We cannot describe how thrilled we are to finally share one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever been a part of. Nekolle was an absolute dream to work with, describing to us the dress she imagined for herself, and helping us make it a reality. We ended up creating a silk slip dress that absolutely fit her like a glove, with a lace overlay to create a sense of layering and texture but maintain elegance and simplicity. The proof is in these gorgeous pictures by Milanes Photography. Also did we mention the dope pink suits the bridal party wore?! Could this wedding be any more fun?

Congratulations Nekolle and Jarell!

LINDSAY + PETER

We've decided the perfect way to close out 2017 is celebrating one of our loveliest brides yet. Lindsay and Peter were married in Arroyo Grande on a beautiful typical California day. Our favorite part of creating her wedding gown was adding a dramatic ruffle down the back paired with a plunging lower back V cut. We hope all of our L'ezu brides and followers have a beautiful and happy New Year and enjoy these beautiful shots of Lindsay and Peter!

ERIN + EOGHAN

We're especially proud of our work for Erin on her special day with Eoghan. Besides being an incredibly funny writer (check out her website Side of Ginger), she's also perfectly lovely to work with. We chose a champagne off white color for her dress to further complement her gorgeous hair color and blush skin tone. The lace detailed V down the front gives it a hint of sexy and sweet, as well as the lace capped sleeves. Looking at these pictures makes us beam with joy! Congratulations Erin and Eoghan!

JACLYN + SAM

One of our sweetest L'ezu brides, Jaclyn, has shared her gorgeous wedding photos with us and we simply couldn't help but share them right away! This California wedding managed to look extremely professional and well put together, while maintaining an element of DIY and a personal touch we could only dream of replicating. Just ask Jaclyn about her baked goods: every member in her close family contributed by making their favorite cookie recipes! We wanted to capture Jaclyn's free spiritedness and effervescence in her wedding gown by giving her a flowing skirt line, subtle beading, and a plunging detailed neck line. Congratulations Jaclyn and Sam!

NEW AUTUMNAL PHOTOSHOOT

It's officially the season of Pumpkin spice, hayrides and most of all berry tones! Here at L'ezu, we love October, and we thought the best way to showcase some of our new collection was through this lovely fall photoshoot. We've included a few pieces from our new line of separates!

MELISSA + EDWARD WEDDING

This desert wedding is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Our perfect bride Melissa married Edward in a heart shaped strapless gown with lace appliqué. We loved the blue tones of her lovely bridesmaids, as well as the stunning photography by Michael Segal. Congratulations Melissa and Edward!
